Carbon Fibre RotorsThe primary cause of rotor failure is corrosion and fatigue - damage to metal surfaces due to moisture, chemicals or alkaline solutions which weakens the metal rotor's structural integrity. Carbon fibre composite rotors are corrosion-resistant, eliminating this hazard, and are safe to use with most laboratory detergents and solutions, ensuring easy rotor care and maintenance.

Substantial load or stress, as a result of high rotational speeds and repeat cycles, can also threaten metal rotor structure and cause it to stretch and change in size, limiting rotor life or leading to failure. Fiberlite rotors are fatigue-resistant, eliminating this threat.

In contrast to commonly used metal rotors, Fiberlite carbon fibre rotors are repairable if damaged. Carbon fibre material possesses naturally insulating properties, ensuring samples are kept at a constant temperature during centrifugation. Carbon fibre rotors weigh less and accelerate/decelerate faster than metal alloy rotors.
